I.N.G.A.P. BRIEF HISTORICAL NOTES: INGAP, an acronym for Industria Nazionale Giocattoli Automatici Padova, was an Italian toy company founded in 1919 and active until 1972. It was founded by Tullio Anselmi and, at its peak, employed 600 people in 1938. Production ranged from early tin toys to intercom telephones, radio-controlled cars, and other high-tech toys, with molds designed and built in its well-equipped workshop by highly specialized personnel. The catalog at the time included 400 models. Among other things, it also included a complete railway with tracks and accessories, with both electric and battery-powered trains. In 1951, before the Japanese, Antonio Vicentini designed the radio-controlled car, using the coherer as the pulse receiver.
