LONGINES "CONQUEST" chronograph, reference 8229, a splendid and rare waterproof steel chronograph, Longines caliber 330 (Valjoux 72), produced in 1973. Tonneau-shaped steel case with unidirectional rotating Bakelite external bezel, screw-down case back, and original crown with Longines logo. Original two-tone black and white dial with three chronograph subdials, steel applied indexes, and white baton hands with partial tritium treatment. Self-winding mechanical movement, Longines caliber 330 (Valjoux 72), in perfect working order. Rarely found, pre-owned watch in exceptional condition, original in every part and in perfect working order. It is offered for sale with the following accessories:

Year: Produced in 1973;

Case: Three-piece, with unidirectional rotating external bezel with Bakelite insert, graduated for decompression times. Screw-down case back, externally marked with "stainless steel" and the case number 15889412, also listed in the archive extract. The inner case back features regular Longines hallmarks and inscriptions, as well as the reference 8229. Case dimensions: diameter 41 mm (excluding crown) x 43 mm (lug to lug). The case is in exceptional overall condition with very minimal signs of use, never restored or polished, with original satin finishes and polished parts and sharp edges.

Dial: Original and in excellent condition, two-tone black and white with a matte black background, with three chronograph subdials. Steel indexes with white enamel, white baton hands with partial tritium treatment, and white printed graphics.

Movement: Self-winding mechanical movement, Longines caliber 330 (Valjoux 72), exceptionally well preserved and in perfect working order, having been completely and professionally overhauled by our watchmaker.

Crystal: Plastic.
