LONGINES reference 22888 "6 Notches", a rare men's watch with a waterproof steel case and screw-down caseback with six notches, produced in 1947. Two-piece steel case with a smooth bezel and a screw-down caseback with six notches. Original, unmarked crown. Unique original tropicalized dial with printed Arabic numerals and blued steel sword hands, a small seconds dial at 6 o'clock, and black printed graphics. Manual-winding mechanical movement, Longines caliber 12.68Z, in perfect working order. The watch is in overall very good condition for its age, completely original, and is offered for sale with the following accessories:

Era: The movement number 6,807,823 places the production approximately in 1947;

Dial: Rare original tropicalized tobacco dial, originally silvered. Black printed Arabic numerals, with burnished steel hands and a small seconds dial at 6 o'clock. Black printed graphics;

Case: Water-resistant, two-piece steel case, smooth stepped bezel. Screw-down case back with "6 NOTCHES" and the following engravings: Longines - stainless steel (inner case back) and reference 22888 and serial number 447 (outer case back). Case dimensions: 33 mm (excluding crown) x 42 mm (lug to lug). The case is in generally good condition for its age, with some marks on the case back.
